Contest Card

***Warning*** This post is graphic heavy.

I entered a Product Challenge through my upline, Linda Bauwin. The challenge was to make any creative fold card and her card class would pick the winner. There would be 3 winners who would earn free product. She had 17 entries!

I knew I wanted to make a scene of some sort and what better scene than camping???

There were several layers to my card. I wanted to make the hot air balloons appear to be floating mid-air

I used the Lift Me Up bundle out of the Occasions Catalog for the hot air balloons.

The scenery was courtesy of the Always an Adventure bundle. I just love how all the scenery pieces meld in this fold. The bear at the base of the mountains is a cute touch too. Of course I wouldn't want a bear hanging out where I camp, but for this card's sake, I kinda like him 😉

I added "snow" to the mountain tops too by sprinkling some tombow glue with dazzling diamonds. I wish you could see this card in person. It's so much fun!!! :)

All of this and it still folds flat into one of our standard A2 envelopes.

And the best part???? I won the challenge and $75 in free product! How cool is that?!
I love how Linda encourages us to expand our horizons! 😁😁😁

Tools, tools & more tools!

I'm still diggin' the Nailed It bundle. Pair it with the Foil Sheets and you've got quite a masterpiece going on- especially for that special guy in your life.

I love how the foil makes these tools really stand out!

I added a strip of foil that I embossed with the Hexagon Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (TIEF) to add even more dimension to the card. The base is Delightful Dijon. The nails & screws are stamped in Basic Gray and Delightful Dijon. The screw driver head is Early Espresso. All the tools/nuts/bolts were die cut using the matching framelits.

I love this bundle and I would love to be your demonstrator. Please contact me at Paintfancy@yahoo.com if I can be of any assistance to you. :)

Twist & Pop-Up Card

Pop and Twist - Sounds like a dance or something, doesn't it? LOL! Nope, it's today's Creative Fold card 😀I've been wanting to try one of these for a while now so I followed the tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers here

I used our Glamper Greetings Stamp Set for the front.

Being one who loves to camp with her horses & dogs, I REALLY, REALLY like this set 😉 I masked the camper by stamping it on a post-it note and covering the glamper on the card. That enabled me to use our new Sponge Brayers for the ground and sky. I also used our 1 ½" circle punch to make a moon mask as well. It doesn't get much easier than applying it with the brayers, and the ink stays even!

Annnnnd now, my favorite part of this card. I love how it pops open into a storybook type surprise.
I've been wanting to use the new Bookcase Builder Stamp Set. My thought process was to make this mimick little rooms inside the camper. It is so fun once it all comes together!
The base of the card is Sahara Sand and the DSP is our Moroccan Designer Series Paper. I love how it makes each "room" look like it has it's own wallpaper yet they all go together very well .

And, last, but not least, I had to add some shimmer with my Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush to the outside of the camper on the front of the card and the envelope. I wanted it to look like an Airstream, LOL!

And that's it for today's dance, errrrr Pop & Twist card. I hope you have a wonderful Monday!

Watercolored Nailed It

 Good morning crafters!
When I first saw the Nailed It set in the Occasions Catalog, I just knew it was going to be a big hit. We always need masculine cards and let's face it, guys are hard to make or buy cards for! This set solves that problem and is so fun to play with!

I used Delightful Dijon as the base. I stamped the hammer and saw in black archival ink and watercolored them with our new Watercolor Pencils. I can't get enough of those! They're so easy to use! After they dried, I masked them with a post-it note and stamped the nails & screws in Smoky Slate.

I embellished a Foil Sheet with our new Hexagon Textured Impressions Embossing Folder to add some depth to my card. That folder sure makes and impression! (Pun intended).
I added the sentiment from the stamp set and cut it out using the matching framelits.

Et Voila! All done!

Baby Block

I was asked to make a gift for someone who welcomed a new baby into the the world.
I just love the image my friends picked out for this lighted block.
It is, after all, a horse! 😉

The soft colored lights fit perfectly with this image!

And I'm ecstatic about the bow on this one!
I think it's my favorite bow so far!

Here it is all lit up.

A big THANKS to the McKnights for commissioning me on this one!
It was great fun to put together.

Nailed It Toolbox

Nailed It Toolbox
Stampin' Up! really Nailed It (yes, pun intended!) with this set. Pairing it with our Foil sheets just makes it all unstoppable. It's so much fun and what a cool card to give that special guy in your life! I saw an idea for a tool box on Pinterest and embellished from there. I love the way this card turned out!

You can make one too! All you need is the Nailed It bundle, Foil Sheets, Real Red Cardstock and Early Espresso Cardstock.

Just look at all that shiny foil. Doesn't it make you want to run right to your craft space and start playing? If you need supplies and don't already have a demo, I'd love to help you out. Please contact me today :)

Personalized Lighted Block

Today's block was ordered by my friend Sharon for a mutual friend, Nate. Anyone who knows Nate will recognize his horse's names. Nate was really surprised when Sharon gave this to him.

And anyone who knows Nate, knows how much he loves his boys, Roscoe & Dozer.

Now he'll have a Memento of them to last forever.

A big THANK YOU to my friend Sharon for entrusting me with creating 3 of these for her!!!

I sure do appreciate your support!

Mojo Monday #483 Blog Entry

Today I am participating in the Mojo Monday #483 sketch challenge. Each Monday we are given a sketch to use to create a card. Today I chose to use the Carousel Birthday stamp set and coordinating Cupcakes & Carousels DSP. I LOVE both of these items. They make it so easy to put a card together. This card literally came together in less than an hour! That's a record for me! Anyone who knows me, knows I ponder craft ideas into the ground before I actually get them down on the cardstock. Between having this sketch and the coordinating products, it makes me look like an artist.

I LOVE THAT!

After all, that's why I became a Stampin' Up! Demo. Their products and tools make me look good! LOL!

I used the new Watercolor Pencils to color both the carousel horse and the letters. They are so easy to use! I finished off the card with some Peekaboo Peach ruched ribbon

Here's the sketch design.
You can visit the blog HERE

I stamped off the carousel image in Sahara Sand and used it for a background image to the sentiment inside the card.
And did you notice...I was able to sneak a horse in today's post! ;)

Kentucky Mountain Horse Block

This block was a request from a friend. She wanted a block in honor of her two Kentucky Mountain Horses.

Do you have a favorite breed? Would you like to have a block to commemorate that breed? If so, please contact me.

Happy Trails!

Trail Rider Lighted Block

RIDE ON IN!

I have to admit, I'm loving the design on this block. I love how the "welcome" is embedded in the ground under the horse.

It's 55° here today and I'm dreaming of camping & trail riding.

Wouldn't this block look awesome inside someone's horse camper?
All of my block lights are battery operated so you don't have to worry about finding a spot for them that's close to an outlet AND we campers can still use them in primitive camping spots!

I think YOU need this for YOUR trailer ;)

Happy Trails!
