October Stray Ducklings Blog Waddle

Hello. Welcome to the October edition of the Stray Ducklings Blog Waddle. You may have gotten here from Sue Boerner 's blog or maybe you're starting out with me. Either way, I'm glad you joined us today!
Our theme this month is Fall or Thanksgiving. I chose to break out the Very Versailles stamp set this time. This set was not on my radar until Mary Fish made THIS CARD with it. I knew I wanted to CASE (Copy And Share Everything) it after I saw hers. It's so Elegant!

I simply switched the colors to make it Fall-ish.

I colored the pearls with my Stampin' Blends to make them match.
Quick & Elegant.

Next up is our own "Mama Duck"Lori Helvick - who, might I add, just earned the Stampin' Up! incentive trip to Hawaii in 2020!!! We're all so happy for her. Please visit her site and leave her some love. She worked very hard to achieve this huge goal!

And please be sure to visit my other Stampin Stray Duckling friends to see the amazing projects they have to share with you.

Soft Spring

Today I have a clean & simple card using the Hostess set Soft Spring and the yummy Noble Peacock Designer Series Paper with the Noble Peacock Foil Paper. Isn't it beautiful?!
It's a simple card but so pretty!

I love this inside sentiment from the Here's a Card stamp set. I feel this way about all of the people I send cards to and I always hope the recipient knows that the card was made from the heart. 💙

I hope you all have a wonderful day!

Stray Ducklings September Blog Waddle

Welcome to the September edition of the Stray Ducklings Blog Waddle. This month we're focusing on Halloween/Fall projects.

The front of my card was inspired by Dawn Griffith's pendulum card. You can see her card HERE. I used the tree ring element in the Tags & Feathers element pack for my pendulum. I stamped one of the bats, fussy cut it & stuck it to the wood piece to make it more Halloweenish. I threaded  ribbon through the hole in the wood piece and tied it with a piece of white baker's twine that I colored with my black Stampin' Blends. Please see the video below to see how the pendulum moves.

Wicked was die cut using our Black Foil. I just love the look of it.

When the card is open there's a "spider web" with a spider in the middle of it.

The spider in the sentiment was cut out using the Black Foil paper too.

I love everything about this card! I can't wait to make another!

That's it for my entry in today's waddle. Please waddle along with my other Duckling friends. Feathers fly when we're together because we have so much fun!!!

Would you like to be a part of a group of very special women? I'd love to tell you all about how you can quack up with us! Please contact me for details :)

Cow's it Going?

Hello Stampers!
I hope this Labor Day weekend finds you doing something you love. I got to ride on Friday so I'm ecstatic! 🐎 I was hoping to ride again today but it rained off and on all night so I think I'll spend the day in my craft room and attempt to ride tomorrow 🐴 I have to take advantage of this weather while I can. It'll be gone soon. 😥

Enough about me, look at this adorable card we made at the Stray Ducklings basket swap in June!!!
I love it! When I look at it, I can't help but smile. The swap basket was brought by my fellow stamping duckling, Bonnie Alexander ( https://www.facebook.com/aliveandstamping/)
Because of this card and another I will be sharing. I had to buy the stamp set myself. I'll be making a cow card in my classes soon ;)
