Stray Ducklings September Blog Hop

It's time for our monthly blog hop with the Stray Ducklings :)
Whether you're starting with my blog or you're joining me from Sheryl D 's blog, welcome & thank you for taking the time to waddle along with us.

This month we're focusing on the new holiday catalog - in particular, Christmas Cards.

I chose to showcase the  Brightly Lit Bundle

I used Emerald Envy Cardstock as my base. I layered it with Basic Black I stamped a panel of Whisper White then embossed it with the Softly Falling folder then added a piece of silver foil sheet and some Christmas Around the World designer series paper. I love that plaid design. It's so versatile!!!

The finishing touch is the silver Mini Tinsel Trim. Isn't it cute?! I can see me using that often in the near future.

Of course I had to decorate the inside as well :)

Thank you for waddling with us.  Our next participant is the talented Lori H. Waddle on over to see her crafty creation.

Here's the list of all of our participants:

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. If you need product and don't have a demonstrator, I'd love to help you out.

Until next time
Happy Stamping!

Team Building Workshop

YAY! It's Friday! Bring on the weekend!

Yesterday I had the pleasure of doing a team building workshop with some pretty awesome people! I drove to the Quad Cities (my hometown) to share what I love with all of them. It was requested that I do 4 projects- and only one of them was a card. I usually make cards, but these projects were so fun that I'm going to have to start expanding my horizons 😉

Look at these happy faces.

Our first project was a Halloween banner.

I had so much fun designing this and putting it together!

I think the girls did too! Candi took a picture of hers as she was assembling:

And she took a pic of Michelle with her banner when she was finished.

TOO. MUCH. FUN!!!

I have never had the pleasure of meeting such great people until I started stamping. The camaraderie, friendships and fun that I experience in this hobby are second to none.

Stay tuned, the other 3 projects will be posted soon :)

HAPPY STAMPING!

Daisy Flowers

Happy Tuesday y'all! I hope you all had a wonderful Labor Day weekend! I sure did. I spent it riding and hanging out with wonderful friends. The horses were well-behaved and the company was fantastic!

Today I wanted to share some fun things you can make with our Daisy Punch. I love sunflowers. One of the first things I did was see how many layers I would need to make the petals for a sunflower. The answer is 4 :) I used my 1½" circle punch for the center and ran it through the softly falling embossing folder. The Coneflowers were made by punching one daisy, cutting it in half and cutting one petal off. The center is from the ¾" Punch. and sponged with Pumpkin Pie & Soft Suede inks. The stems were die cut using the May Flowers Framelit dies

My card has a story too. A few weeks ago, I had to have some medical procedures done. As I was recuperating, a strange vehicle pulled into my driveway. Lo & behold, it was my friend, Chris. Chris remembered that I loved her Purple Coneflowers so she drove all the way out here to bring me the heads off of her flowers! Now I'll have my own Purple Coneflowers next year!

Wasn't that thoughtful of her? It was evident to me who the recipient of this card needed to be :)

The sentiments are from the All Things Thanks stamp set.
Pretty cool, eh?

I hope you all have a stampingly fantastic Tuesday!
