Poodle Skirts for the Stray Ducklings Blog Waddle

Welcome to the Stray Ducklings monthly Blog Waddle. I am honored to be a part of this very talented & caring group of ladies!

Today's card was CASEd from Bernadette Baio (http://dostamping.typepad.com/dostamping_with_dawn/2017/08/stampinup-stars-friday-feature.html) I fell in love with her card the moment I saw it and just knew I had to do something similar.
The card bases are both in Whisper White with a panel of Basic Black and another Whisper White layer on top. The skirts are in Flirty Flamingo and Sweet Sugarplum. The poodle was diecut from the Birthday Delivery bundle. I embellished it's collar with our Rhinestones. The sentiments are from Happy Birthday Gorgeous.
I stamped the poodle from the Birthday Delivery stamp set inside.
The poodles leash is made from our black sequin trim and I dotted his eye using the white chalk marker.
The belt buckle was made using the silver glimmer paper with the Layering Squares Framelits and the 1/8" circle punch.

I hope you enjoyed this card. I'm so grateful that Bernadette came up with such a clever idea!

The next blog on our waddle is Karie B. Waddle on my friends!

Paper Pumpkin 50% Off thru September 10th!

Yep! You read that correctly!!! Any new Paper Pumpkin subscription is eligible for 50% off. This applies to September's "Fun in a Box". Just use promo code HALFOFF0917 when you sign up HERE

"What is Paper Pumpkin?" you ask. It's everything you need to make a project all wrapped up in one cute box delivered right to your mailbox once per month! The kit is normally $19.95 per month but if you sign up right now, you'll get it for half price!!!!

Here is the kit we got in June. Most of it is original but I made some alternatives so that all the cards weren't the same :) (I like to be unique 😉)

The kit itself was intended to make 4 bags and 6 cards. I cut up one of the bags and used those parts to make more cards, therefore, giving me 3 bags and 3 cards to put in each bag. Now I have gifts to give to others! :)

Lastly, I wanted to show you a creative fold card I made for one of the sets. The flap of the card catches underneath the watermelon slice.

 Unhooking the flap

Opening the first flap.

The second flap open and the inside of the card.
Isn't that fun?!
Don't miss out on this great opportunity to try it for under $10! It's fun and you're not obligated to buy another, just cancel after you receive your shipment, but it's so much fun that you won't want to!

Today, I'd like to share a card that my dear friend, Linda Pohl, made for our Masculine card swap last month. Linda used the One Wild Ride stamp set. Isn't it great?! I love this set and all the great cards you can make with it.
