Welcome to the Stray Ducklings monthly Blog Waddle. I am honored to be a part of this very talented & caring group of ladies!
Today's card was CASEd from Bernadette Baio (http://dostamping.typepad.com/dostamping_with_dawn/2017/08/stampinup-stars-friday-feature.html) I fell in love with her card the moment I saw it and just knew I had to do something similar.
The card bases are both in Whisper White with a panel of Basic Black and another Whisper White layer on top. The skirts are in Flirty Flamingo and Sweet Sugarplum. The poodle was diecut from the Birthday Delivery bundle. I embellished it's collar with our Rhinestones. The sentiments are from Happy Birthday Gorgeous.
I stamped the poodle from the Birthday Delivery stamp set inside.
The poodles leash is made from our black sequin trim and I dotted his eye using the white chalk marker.
The belt buckle was made using the silver glimmer paper with the Layering Squares Framelits and the 1/8" circle punch.
I hope you enjoyed this card. I'm so grateful that Bernadette came up with such a clever idea!
The next blog on our waddle is Karie B. Waddle on my friends!

Class card #1- Tunnel Anniversary
I held a class on Tuesday and had 16 beautiful ladies attend! Unfortunately I only got a pic of the 4 from the afternoon class. Sorry girls, I'm slacking in my photo ops dept!
Onto the card.
The first card in this class was CASEd from a lovely card that was mailed to me for my birthday. Lori Helvick is the creator and you can visit her blog here. The card I CASEd is here. Isn't it Lovely???!!! Lori does beautiful work!
And here is my rendition of Lori's card:
I started with an 8 ½" x 5 ¼" piece of So Saffron Cardstock and stamped the vine image from the Grateful Bunch stamp set in So Saffron ink on the front. I adhered an 8 ¼"x 5" sheet of Whisper White Cardstock to the So Saffron after stamping the sentiment from the Grateful Bunch in the center. Then I scored it on my Stampin' Trimmer and adhered it to the card base. Next I took an 8 ¼"x 5" piece of Flirty Flamingo, scored it at 4 ¼" and from both ends at 2 1/8" then I centered my Layered Oval Framelits over the center line and ran it through my Big Shot - keeping the oval to use on the front of the card. Then I added some interest to the right side of the Flirty Flamingo using an embossing folder.
The front was done with the Layering Oval Framelits, Number of Years Stamp Set, Flower Shop stamps and coordinating Pansy Punch, Petite Petals Punch and Peek-A-Boo Peach Ruched Ribbon.
Thank you for stopping by. I would love to hear from you just to know someone is reading my blog :)
Happy Stamping!

Baby Bear Step Card
I entered a Product Challenge with my Upline, Linda Bauwin. She sends us several current items to use to make a card. We send that card back to her to be judged. Her team judges the cards and the winner wins all of the cards that were entered. I had the honor of being a winner this month! :) The items she sent this month included some of the new In-Color Enamel Shapes, delicate white doilies and bow paper clip embellishments.
I'm in love with the new Baby Bear stamp set so I couldn't wait to use it in the Product Challenge. The idea was CASEd from images I found online. There are a lot of step cards made into dressers out there! I wanted to make the drawers look real so I scored them and raised them with 2 Stampin' Dimensionals on each side underneath of the drawers. The base of the card is done in Very Vanilla cardstock. The drawers are Soft Suede cardstock. The doilies are sponged with Soft Suede ink and one is backed with a circle cut from the new Layering Circle Framelit Dies and backed with Sweet Sugarplum cardstock. The bow is wrapped in Flirty Flamingo Ruched Ribbon. I used the Lots of Labels Framelits Dies to cut out the base of the dresser. The sentiment is from Suite Sayings and cut out with the Layering Squares Framelits Dies using Peek-A-Boo Peach cardstock as the background.
I stamped my bear backwards. I started using the #3 image with Tip Top Taupe. Then I stamped the #2 image over the top with full-strength Sahara Sand. Lastly, I used Sahara Sand ink again, but I stamped it off on scrap paper before stamping the #1 image over the top of the other two. I feel that you can see through the #1 image best, which makes it easy to line up. This bear is so life-like! You just wanna pick it up and give it a squeeze!
I hope you enjoy today's card. I would love to hear from you so that I know someone out there is reading my posts ;)
