Quick Check-In Amidst Vacations

Hi All
So before I left last week I decided to commit to posting 3 days per week - Tues, Thurs and Saturday. I made it a week! LOL! I thought I'd have time to make cards and prep after I got home from my Bucket-List trip horseback riding in Bryce Canyon, but that didn't happen. Instead, I ended up trying to post 423 photos & videos on Facebook and tag everyone so they could have beautiful keepsakes of the memories of our trip. I thought I'd pop in and share some of those highlights with you all before I head out again.

Honestly, as much as I love stamping, I've really missed my first love - Horseback Riding. And since riding is so seasonal, I'm going to take advantage of it as much as I can because I know my craft room and stamps will be here when we have non-rideable days. I hope you understand and will forgive my non-card posts during these times :)

Without further ado, here's some of Bryce Canyon's amazing beauty.

My Trusty Mount, Amigo.

The Peek-A-Boo Loop

Thunder Mountain

The Wall of Windows

Devil's Slide

Slot Canyons

Natural Bridge

Mi Amigo & Yours Truly

Rock formation getting close to Bryce Canyon. Doesn't it remind you of a Road Runner cartoon?! LOL

I'm heading out again tomorrow. I'm driving to Eminence, Missouri to stay with a friend and ride with her on her horses in the beautiful Ozarks. Hubby & I go down every October and camp at Cross Country Trail Ride for a week, but it will be totally fun to see it from a Locals perspective and visit friends who live there.

Double Easel

Howdy Stampers!

I have a fun Double Easel card for you today. It looks so much harder than it is. It's just a lot of layering and a couple of folds. Fun! Fun!

The two white folded layers are 4¼ x 11 scored at 5½ & 8¼
                                         and 2½ x 6 scored at 3 & 4½,

Then you just add White on top of the folds 4¼ x 5½ and 2½ x 3 then layer on top of the white pieces.
I used the Fine Art Floral suite on my card today, but you can use any DSP and stamp set. This type of card is so versatile! I can't wait to make more using different bundles! I plan on writing my message to the recipient on the bottom of the card where the entire panel is white and there's lots of room.

What will you stamp today? I can't wait to see!
HAPPY STAMPING!

Beach Window Swing Card

Hello Stampers!

Today I have a Summery Fun Fold for you. It's called a Window Swing Card. I've never made one before so it was on my list. I'm very happy with the results. This was also the first time I used my Friends Are Like Seashells bundle and I've had it for a few months!😮

You really have to see this card to appreciate it. Pictures don't do it justice - not tooting my own horn here, but that Pearlescent paper I used to emboss the seashells just gives it a real feel. After I embossed the shells using the Seashells 3D embossing folder. I die cut them and cut the die cut apart to make individual shells. I added color to them using our Stampin' Blends.

Such a fun technique!

Cool huh? You can make one of your own too!

Here are the measurements:
Colored Cardstock: 5½ x 8½ scored at 4¼
Basic White: 5 x 8 scored at 2, 4, & 6
DSP 1½ x 5½, 1¾ x 4¾ & a die cut for the center of the "window"

That's it for now.
HAPPY STAMPING!
~Kim~
