Graduation Card #2

I wanted to share one more graduation card that I made. This one was for a very dear high school friend's son who just happened to graduate from our Alma Mater.

Thankfully, I had some leftover Blackberry Bliss Cardstock, but my biggest score here was finding the Rockridge Rockets designer paper that I bought many, many moons ago (like 15 😮!) I knew I kept it around for a reason! 😉

I cut the numbers out of gold glitter paper using the Large Number Framelits. I made the tassel out of old Blackberry Bliss thick baker's twine and white embossing floss. I adhered the tassel using one of our White Perfect Accents popped up with a Stampin' Dimensional

I finished the card with the sentiment from the B.Y.O.P. stamp set.

To all graduates near & far...CONGRATULATIONS on your achievement! May life be everything you hoped for and more!

Tomorrow's a BIG day for those of us who work for Stampin' Up! Our new catalog is being released to the public which means you all have the opportunity to see and buy new products!!! WOOHOO!

If you're already my customer and need a catty, please see me. If you're not, but would like to order, I would love to meet you and get a new catty to you.

Happy Stamping!

Graduation Card

I hope everyone had a fun-filled, safe Memorial Weekend!

A friend of mine asked me to make a graduation card for her. The recipient of the card's school colors are the same as the Chicago Bears (Go Bears!!!) Thankfully I still had some leftover Pumpkin Pie Glimmer paper! I cut the numbers out of the glimmer paper with our Large Number Framelits.

I made the tassel out of embossing floss and used a Night of Navy Regals Enamel Dot to hang it. Then added rhinestones for more bling.
I added the sentiment from the B.Y.O.P. stamp set.

Stay tuned tomorrow. I have one more graduation card for you.
Until then, Happy Stamping!

Succulent Garden

Yay! We made it to Friday! 😁
And it's the Friday before a holiday weekend! WOOHOO! I hope you all have grand plans!

Today I'll be sharing the last card from my most recent class. It's a Succulent Garden creative fold. Unfortunately at this writing, the Succulent Garden DSP has sold out, but you can use any Designer Series paper of your choice for the same effect. That's probably one of the best things I love about Stampin' Up! Everything matches! Just pick the Designer Series Paper of your choice, grab some coordinating cardstock, cut and viola! instant card! Believe it or not, this card came together quick and easy because of that. It looks time-consuming because all of the layers, but it wasn't.

The succulent was made using the Blossom Bunch Punch which is 50% off right now while supplies last! Hurry and get yours before they run out!
The sentiments are both from the Suite Sayings stamp set.

My nephew & I are headed for a fun-filled weekend of camping and horseback riding. I hope you all enjoy your weekend as well and don't forget to take some time to remember your loved ones who have passed.

God Bless,
~Kim~

Candle Card

Today's card is so much fun! My class participants loved it! We used the Candle Border Punch on the front of the card and the envelope flap. It was a real hit once we added the Daffodil Delight Designer Series Paper behind it. And guess what...??? The punch is 40% off right now while supplies last! Get yours today before they run out!

I used the Layering Oval Framelits Dies to add the sentiment from the Suite Sayings stamp set

The sentiment inside the card is from the Everyday Tags Stamp Set which is 25% off right now while supplies last!

I hope you enjoyed today's care share. Please come back tomorrow or subscribe to my blog by placing your email address in the slot on the right. Then you'll be sure not to miss a post!

One more day till the holiday weekend! 😁

Fun Fold Birdcage Card

Hello Wednesday! We're halfway through the work week! 😀

Today's card share is one we made in class using the Badges & Banners stamp set and Affectionately Yours Designer Series Paper.

One of the fun touches to this card is the Affectionately Yours Washi Tape. It really sets off the area to write in and brings the front of the card inside.

Here's the card folded but not locked in.

We have so much fun at our monthly card classes! Do you live in North Central Illinois? If so and you would like to join us, please contact me for directions and the date for the next class.

Special Reason Swap

Today's swap share was created by Sheryl Diemer (www.stampingclassroom.blogspot.com )  using the Special Reasons die cuts and the Succulent Garden DSP. Isn't that a cool effect putting the pretty DSP behind the cut-out? Easy-peasy and beautiful at the same time!

The background was done using our deep-impression Hexagon Embossing Folder. It really stands out when it's done!

Just 9 more days until the new catalog goes live! If you don't have a Stampin' Up! demo and would like a catalog, please contact me! :) If you have placed an order with me in the past year, you will be receiving the new catalog the next time I see you. Until then...

Happy Stamping!

The green flourish & center of the flower are from the Flourish Thinlet Dies. The Sweet Sugarplum flower was punched using the Pansy Punch and the doily can be found HERE

Happy Friday!!!!

♫♪ It's Friday! It's Friday ♪♫
Yippee!

Of course hubby would say everyday's Friday for me, because I don't technically "work". LOL! He's an ornery one! 😏

Anyhow, onto today's card. This is another one I received in a card swap. It was designed by Kathy VanAntwerp. Kathy used the beautiful Blooms & Bliss Designer Series Paper (DSP) on her card.

The Mint Macaron lace ribbon is retired but adds a really nice touch to this card.
Simple and pretty all at the same time!

Beautiful You

Yes you are!

We all need to be reminded how beautiful we are. Somedays, we don't feel so beautiful, but trust me, you are. This Beautiful You stamp set helps us remind each other of that.

I received this gorgeous card in a swap. It was made by my fellow Stray Duckling, Gayle Kiesow. Gayle painstakingly cut the dress and hat by hand out of the designer series paper. Isn't that pretty how it matches the border? She has way more patience than I do!

And that'll do it for my card share today. One more day till the weekend. Whoop! Whoop!

Happy Stamping!

Envelope Punch Board Slider

Happy Wednesday Morning! 😃

Do you have a bunch of Designer Series Paper laying around? I sure do and now that the new catalog is coming out next month, I need to use it up. Honestly, I'm a paper hoarder. I get it and it's so pretty. I tell myself I'm waiting for that "perfect" project to use it, then here we are at another catalog transition and it's all still sitting there. *Sigh*

Hence my card for the day. I wanted to use up some of that fun, vibrant Festive Birthday Designer Series Paper. I had seen this sliding gift card holder card all over Pinterest and really liked it because, well, 1. It's a fun fold card & 2. It uses the Envelope Punch Board to make a self-closing flap. How cool is that???

When you open it up, it slides and reveals the gift card. I popped some balloons made with the Balloon Bouquet Punch up on Stampin' Dimensionals to decorate the top panel. Fun! Fun!

The sentiments are from the Confetti Celebrations Stamp Set. The finishing touch is the addition of the Crushed Curry Baker's Twine & Party Animal Embellishments which are  both 40% off right now! Get 'em while they're hot! LOL!

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. If you'd like to leave me some love below, I'd be glad to hear from you!

Have a wonderful day!

Terese & Sue's Swap Cards

I have two cards to share with you today that I received in a swap with my fellow Stray Ducklings. The first one was made by Terese Burdette using the Beautiful You stamp set.
I just love how Terese used paper piecing to make the dress & hat match the paper. Such a nice card!

The second card was made by Sue Boerner (http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/stampinsueb/blog) Sue used the Moroccan Designer Series Paper on her card.
And guess what??? The Moroccan DSP is on clearance right now. Get yours before it runs out!
And that's all I have for this first Tuesday of May. I hope you've enjoyed today's card share. Please leave me some love in the comments below if you did (It makes me feel like I'm not just talking to myself!) LOL ;)

Father's Day Tag Card

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. It's been very stormy & rainy here, but we don't have it nearly as bad as our friends in the South. The area where we take our horses trail riding got hit very hard over night. We're praying for our friends and everyone affected by all the flooding.

I have a really rad 😉 card for you on this rainy Monday. It was made by my fellow Stray Duckling, Greta Whittemore (http://getcreativewithgreta.blogspot.com/)

The Custom Tee set is so much fun. We also have T-shirt Builder Framelit dies so you don't have to cut everything out by hand. AND the best part of all, both are on clearance right now! Get them before they're gone!

Greta used gold embossing powder to heat emboss the statement on the shirt and she used Playful Background stamp on the tag.
The sentiment is from All Things Thanks

Isn't this an awesome card?!

I love it because it's something very different from other cards.

Until Tomorrow, Happy Stamping! :)
