Santa Paws

Merry Christmas Eve Eve!
While most everyone is frantically getting ready for Christmas, I'm sitting here drinking coffee and wishing the season would last a little longer. I love Christmas time. And just when I seem to get into my Christmas Card mojo, it's gone.

To be honest, I'll probably be making more Christmas cards next week.
Yea, I have trouble accepting that it's over.
Sad, isn't it?! LOL!

Aaaaanyhow, today I'd like to share this cute, whimsical card I made for the World's Greatest Petsitter who also happens to be like a second Mom to hubby & me.
She's amazing with our large critter crew.
They all love her dearly.

This is the first time I've actually sat down and played with our new Stampin' Blends.
I didn't blend and shadow with them like they're intended. I just colored.
And had fun.
And guess what I realized...?
It was relaxing!
I know. I'm late to that boat too. *sigh*
I just don't make the time to color often enough.

You know what else I realized??? Alcohol markers require a buffer sheet between them and that beautiful wood table you see in the background.

Yea. Why do I have to learn everything the hard way?
Thank God there was a fast, easy fix for it and hubby
NEVER has to know. Those of you who know my hubby know how very meticulous he is about EVERYTHING.

Soooo, it can be our li'l secret, K? k.

'Nuf of that.

I can't promise that this will be the last Christmas item I share, but I can promise to try to get over missing Christmas before it's even here.

Have a wonderful day and I'll catch ya on the flip side.

~Kim~

Watercolor Christmas Cards

6 days till Christmas??? My how time flies!
A couple of weeks ago I had a product-based class. We bought the Watercolor Christmas card kit and stamp set so we could make all 20 cards together.
We changed the cards up a little and just had fun with it.

It was a great way to get a lot of cards done in a short amount of time plus get to visit with friends and see what kind of cool ideas they came up with.

I tell ya what, I stamp with some pretty creative minds!

I'm so blessed!

December Blog Waddle - 3D Items

Welcome to the December edition of the Stray Ducklings Blog Waddle. What the heck is that, you ask? The Stray Ducklings are a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators here in central Illinois who participate in all kinds of fun paper crafting activities. And, since we're ducklings, we blog "waddle" vs. blog "hop".  😜

Aaaaanyhow, as they say, on with the show!

I saw an idea similar to this on a demonstrator group in Facebook during Halloween. I fell in love immediately, but had never seen the Oreo eggs before - until I visited my local Dollar General. There they were at the checkout. It was fate I tell ya! LOL

I had to add some snow for effect (and bling of course - ohhhhh shiny!)

Assembling the little houses from the Home Sweet Home diecuts is so much fun! I have a lot more ideas, now I just need more time!

The next duckling on our list of waddlers is Lori H or you can waddle along the list

Light Glass Blocks for Christmas

The orders have really come in this year for the lighted glass blocks.
Today I'd like to share some of the specialty blocks I made most recently.

I sincerely hope the recipients thoroughly enjoy their gifts.
A little birdie told me that Santa delivered this one yesterday 😉

I have more to share that are not horse-related but am being very cautious as I don't want to ruin anyone's surprises.

I hope you all are having as much fun prepping for Christmas as I am!

Happy Crafting!

Christmas Fold

Happy Monday! *Grumble, Grumble* LOL!

Hopefully this cute Christmas card will make your Monday feel a bit better!

We made this card at a recent Stray Ducklings Stamp Fair.

It was designed by Bonnie Alexander. My class participants saw it and asked to make it at our next class. I happily obliged 😉

It is quick and easy - a little paper trimming, some DSP, minimal stamping, add ribbon and viola! Done!

Baby cards

Hello there!

I got a request a while back from one of my class participants to make a baby card. She didn't know the gender of the baby, so I made three variations of the same card using the same stamp set and the same DSP (Designer Series Paper) Pack.

How cute and fun is that li'l spinner elephant?! It just makes me smile :)

And for the unknown baby's gender

The Whole Lot of Lovely DSP stack was perfect for these cards!

And that's all the cuteness I can muster up at the moment.
I hope you have a wonderfully splendiforous day!
Happy Stamping!

Bear Spinner Card

Good morning! :)

Today's card is a fun one. We made this card in class a few weeks ago.
It was a huge hit! I have a couple variations coming up in future blog posts.

Isn't that li'l bear just the cutest?! I love the beehive and bees too
(As long as they're on paper and not real, LOL!)

Quick & Simple for today's blog post.
Happy Stamping!

♪♫ Deck the halls with boughs of Holly. Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la ♫♪

Yep, that's what I was singing when I was making this card. Be glad you weren't in the room.
I was last in line when God gave out singing voices! LOL!

This was my first attempt at a book-fold card. Let's just say it was a real learning curve!!! I'm hoping that the next time I try it, it'll get better! LOL

That's it for today. Keeping it quick. I hope you enjoy your Monday and you don't have to work too hard!
