Guilty

 Yep. I'm guilty.

I tend to overthink EVERYTHING and feel like I have to come up with these grandiose cards that wow everyone Every.Single.Time. I tend to forget that beautiful cards don't have to be hard.

I was playing with the Pretty Pumpkins bundle in my craft room on Sunday. I was making all of these beautiful die cuts out of Specialty papers, trying different stamping techniques with the set, and on one piece of Vanilla Cardstock, I simply heat embossed the three pumpkins using Versamark and Copper Embossing Powder. Then I colored them with my Stampin' Blends and set them aside. I continued messing with the other stamps, coloring them with markers then stamping, using the baby wipe technique, etc. However, my eyes kept drawing back to that simple piece of CS with the copper embossed pumpkins on it. I loved it. But, how could I? I mean, it was sooooo simple....

I could just picture a nice sentiment heat embossed on the front and die cut with a pretty die. Soooo, I followed my heart and just did it.

I love that corner bow made with the faux suede trim. I used the scallops to help keep it in place.

The shiny copper embossing is soooo pretty 💖

Isn't it just simply elegant? I mean, for just a plain card and all 😉

I REALLY need to get out of my own head for a while. I am my own worst enemy!

I love everything about this card. I hope you do as well!

This bundle will be available August 3rd 😃😃😃

HAPPY STAMPING!

Home to Roost in Bermuda Bay

Hello from the frozen tundra of Illinois! It's -21° with a -51° wind chill here. Bone chilling is an understatement. I'm staying inside other than doing chores. My poor horses. I feel so sorry for them.
We're supposed to warm up this weekend. Thank God.

Monday I think I mentioned how much fun I was having coloring the Home to Roost roosters.
I did a google search on roosters and wow, the colors! It's been awesome playing with my blends then figuring out how I'm going to layout the card to match the rooster.
And once again, I'm diggin' this Grapefruit Grove foil paper that's FREE through Sale-A-Bration with your qualifying purchase (the Home to Roost stamp set is as well!)
Just look at that holographic shine.
And, of course, I had to dress it up even more by heat embossing it with our copper embossing powder.

Wouldn't you like to color along with me???

You can! Just click on anyone of the links below to purchase some of the tools to make this card. The Home to Roost stamp set or the Grapefruit Grove foil paper can be yours FREE with a $50 purchase each.

Anniversary Card

Good morning stampers! It is really humid here in Illinois today. The forecast is stormy so it's a great day to be in the craft room.

Today I'd like to share the card I made for hubby for our anniversary.

I started with a Night of Navy cardstock base. I stamped one of the Timeless Textures stamps on the background  with Night of Navy ink and wrapped it in a piece of Dapper Denim Ruched Ribbon

I cut out one of the Layering Circle Framelit Dies in Chocolate Chip CS using my Big Shot. I also cut out one of the Sweet & Sassy Framelit Dies from the Affectionately Yours DSP with the Big Shot. I heat embossed the numbers from the Number of Years stamp set  in Copper Stampin' Emboss Powder and cut them out with the Large Numbers Framelits on the Big Shot.

The Happy Anniversary Sentiment is also from the Number of Years stamp set; stamped in Chocolate Chip ink inside the Thoughtful Banners stamp and punched out with the Duet Banner Punch. The "I Love You" sentiment in the card is also from the Thoughtful Banners stamp set.

I hope you've enjoyed today's card. Have a wonderful day.

Happy Stamping!
