Aren't they pretty?!  I just love this card! It was designed by my fellow Stray Duckling, Mary Heinzman. The one on the right is her original card. The one on the left is the one we made at class a couple weeks ago. I didn't have the Watercolor Christmas stamp set yet so I improvised with Carols of Christmas.

I just think this card is so elegant! I hope you like it too!

Isn't it cute?! The idea was CASEd from one of Linda Bauwin's retreats. I opted to change it up and use the stamp Linda designed when she reached a million dollars in sales, Half Full. 

It even slides flat so you can mail it! I forgot to take a picture of that though. LOL!

Personalized Travel Mug

Happy Black Friday! 

I'm sure some of you are out braving the stores. 

Not. Me. 

As I sit here this morning in my PJs with my feet up, reflecting on our great Thanksgiving, I'd like to share a travel mug I made for a friend this week. There's a funny story behind this mug and if you're a gaited horse rider, you'll find it even funnier. 

Deb rides both a Paint horse (Mic)  and a Missouri Foxtrotter (Jo). Someone was complimenting Deb's Paint and asked if it was gaited. Her other friend interjected and stated, "Naw, it's Just a Paint." 

JUST a Paint!!!! LOL! 

It's been a running joke in our riding club. So, I made Deb a travel mug with her horse's pictures and those captions. Her favorite color is pink so the background is pink glitter. 

  

Aaaaaand......it just so happens that I ride both a Paint and an MFT as well so, guess what I did? Yep! I made myself a mug. Since my favorite color is purple, I gave mine a purple glitter background. I added sparkly silver dots for fun too. 

I think I like Deb's solid background better. 

My busy cup takes the focus away from the horses. 

And you know, 

It's all about the horses! 😍🐴

Today's card is perfect for this holiday. It's how I feel about all of my family, friends, customers and those of you who take time out of your busy day to read this blog.

We made this card at a recent Stamp Fair. I believe it was designed by Bonnie Alexander. I used it in my class last week and the girls just loved it. One of them even remarked, "Oh, I LOVE that designer series paper!" LOL!  When I informed her it wasn't DSP and she would be making it, she was shocked. I love moments like those! 😉

Happy Monday! 

At least it's a short week, right? :) 

I have been wanting to do today's project for a long time. 

It took me two days last week to get it accomplished. 

Not because it's that hard, but because of all of the other stuff I had to do in between. 

I'm not gonna lie tho' it was time consuming, but I'm very happy with the end product. 

I made it using our 2x2 Tiny Treat Boxes. Mine were the old style (kraft cardstock) the new ones are white and I definitely think those would look better, but I'm not up for doing it over at the moment! LOL! 

The top one is a retired 3x3 box. 

The tree is topped off with our Gold Metallic Edged Ribbon. 

 I used our Window Box Thinlet Dies for the base and added two tea lights to it. By the way, they are 10% off today for our Online Extravaganza!

 And here it is all lit up.
I bought the lights on Amazon. 

Each box lid opens downward to reveal some kind of treat inside

Thanksgiving Card

Happy Thursday everyone! 

It's hard to believe that Thanksgiving is 2 short weeks away 😲

Today I'd like to share a card that a dear friend asked me to make for her. She's wonderful about supporting my habit passion for handmade items. 😁

It uses only one stamp set, which is amazing for me as I enjoy mixing & matching items. If I could have only one set from the holiday catalog, it would be this one, Painted Harvest. It's so versatile! 

And in the next pics, you can see where I stepped it up a notch. The original card is on the right. I changed up the greeting by adding "Give Thanks" from the Labels to Love stamp set. I also changed the Daffodil Delight in the wreath to Sahara Sand and added a layer of Cajun Craze cardstock to a base of Sahara Sand cardstock. It's amazing what a little change and addition of color does! 

A whole lotta stamping with the addition of a little bow, and you've got yourself a quick & easy Thanksgiving card.
