Fiesta Birthday

This is the final card from our class last week. I call it the Fiesta Birthday card. My goal was to make it resemble a pinata by using my Fringe Scissors to cut the strips of cardstock. I just love that little Llama!

The stamps are from the Birthday Fiesta bundle. I used my Many Marvelous Markers to color the stamps before stamping them. Emerald Envy cardstock was used as the card base and the ribbon is the Emerald Envy Ruched Ribbon.

I think this card is so cute! :)

The Canopy or Storefront Card.

Today's card share is the second one from our class last week and my personal favorite ;)

The canopy was made by lining up the bottom of the canopy in the top of the Best Badge Punch and punching it out all the way across. The "wall" on the front of the building was embossed on the Big Shot using the Brick Wall texured impression embossing folder. The wine glasses and sentiment are from the Mixed Drinks stamp set. I used the Layering Squares Framelits Squares to cut the window in the brick wall.
...and I just had to add some glossy accents for effect ;)

I hope you've enjoyed today's card as much as I enjoyed making it. I just love it! :)

Class card #1- Tunnel Anniversary

I held a class on Tuesday and had 16 beautiful ladies attend! Unfortunately I only got a pic of the 4 from the afternoon class. Sorry girls, I'm slacking in my photo ops dept!

Onto the card.

The first card in this class was CASEd from a lovely card that was mailed to me for my birthday. Lori Helvick is the creator and you can visit her blog here.  The card I CASEd is here. Isn't it Lovely???!!! Lori does beautiful work!

And here is my rendition of Lori's card:

I started with an 8 ½" x 5 ¼" piece of So Saffron Cardstock and stamped the vine image from the Grateful Bunch stamp set in So Saffron ink on the front. I adhered an 8 ¼"x 5" sheet of Whisper White Cardstock to the So Saffron after stamping the sentiment from the Grateful Bunch in the center. Then I scored it on my Stampin' Trimmer and adhered it to the card base. Next I took an  8 ¼"x 5" piece of Flirty Flamingo, scored it at 4 ¼" and from both ends at 2 1/8" then I centered my Layered Oval Framelits over the center line and ran it through my Big Shot - keeping the oval to use on the front of the card. Then I added some interest to the right side of the Flirty Flamingo using an embossing folder.

The front was done with the Layering Oval Framelits, Number of Years Stamp Set, Flower Shop stamps and coordinating Pansy Punch, Petite Petals Punch and Peek-A-Boo Peach Ruched Ribbon.

Thank you for stopping by. I would love to hear from you just to know someone is reading my blog :)

Happy Stamping!

Stampin' in the Woods Weekend

We had so much fun at Linda Bauwin's Stampin' in the Woods over the weekend. It's all a blur as it's a whirlwind of activity! Since we had an 8 hr drive, we were non-stop from Thursday through Sunday. I think I'm finally caught up on all the sleep that I missed! There were 36 of us that participated. Here's the group shot:

The scenery at Camp Judson was absolutely GORGEOUS!

Lori Helvick & Carrie Burr joined me and let me tell you, it was quite the adventure! We had so many laughs!

The water felt so good as it was very humid all weekend and there's no a/c in the rec area. We stamped anyway!

And to prove that we really did stamp, this is the only stamping picture I have. We were so busy! You really get your money's worth attending this retreat! :)

Project pictures to follow. I have two card classes today and my house is in dire need of cleaning!

Happy Tuesday all! :)

Hello everyone :)

I've been slacking off in my posting again :-/ Life just seems to get in the way. Then my laptop I use at night crapped out on me, yadda, yadda, yadda. It's always something, isn't it? Anyhow, I'm back for tonight, but I will be heading to Pennsylvania tomorrow to attend Linda Bauwin's Stampin' in the Woods retreat. That's right, an ENTIRE weekend devoted to nothing but Stampin' Up! products and like-minded individuals - not to mention all set on beautiful Lake Erie! I can't wait to see Lake Erie in it's thawed state. The last SITW I attended was in March and the lake was frozen.

Speaking of Linda Bauwin (who just so happens to be my famous Upline ;)  ) My card today is an oldie that I CASEd from one of her Stamp of the Month kits (you can find them here). I've been wanting to try this belt fold card for a while and the Awesomely Artistic stamp set happened to work out beautifully with it! I'm really happy with the way it turned out. I hope you enjoy it too!

I'm sure I'll be back on Monday with all kinds of new projects and ideas after this weekend retreat! Happy Stamping!

Blue Fairy Shaker Card

I made 2 more fairy shaker cards, but changed the colors.

I just love the Jar of Love bundle combined with the Fairy Celebration Stamp set. It's so cute how the fairy wings coordinate with our Bitty Butterfly Punch! The designer series paper is from the Blooms & Bliss DSP stack.

If you're interested in any of the products to make this card or any other Stampin' Up! products and don't have a demonstrator, I would love to be your demo!

Happy Stamping!

2 More Birthday Cards

I just wanted to share 2 more birthday cards I received with all of you.

The first one is from another one of my Downlines, Carrie Burr.

I wonder how Carrie knew my favorite color is purple??? Thanks Carrie! I love it!!!

The next card is from my friend, Lora Martens. Lora & I went to high school together. This actually started as kind of a joke on Facebook, but Lora went the extra mile and actually hand-drew me a card! I love it! As we all know, handmade comes from the heart.

All of the cards I've shown this week have earned a special place hanging from my trophy shelf in my craft room. I appreciate all of the effort from everyone and thanks to them, my birthday was extra special!!! <3 <3 <3

Last Birthday Card Share

This tunnel card was made by my friend & "Mama Duck" from our Stray Ducklings group, Lori Helvick. Lori is an amazing demonstrator from the Peoria, IL area. You can visit her blog here.

I love the colors Lori used. This card is absolutely stunning in person. I feel so blessed to have such talented friends. They really made my birthday feel extra special. <3

Another Birthday card share

Today I'd like to share a card that one of my good friends and downline, Jennifer Hepner, made me for my birthday. Check out this specialty Z-fold card! Jen sure is talented for being so new to stamping.

Jen used the Confetti Celebration Stamp Set and the balloon punch to create this super cute card. I didn't have the Confetti Celebration stamp set. Jen's card convinced me that I needed it! ;) Jen also added a lot of Wink of Stella for bling. Pictures just don't do this card justice. It's so sparkly and cute in person!

I'm really proud to have Jen on my team, but mostly to have her as a friend!

Today I'd like to share a birthday card I received yesterday from one of my Stray Ducklings friends, Debbie Kramer. She's an amazingly organized demonstrator. You can find her blog here.

I just love the card she sent me.

She definitely has an eye for color, IMHO. I hope you enjoy it too. I'll post another birthday card tomorrow.

Happy Stamping!!!
