Interactive Fluttering Butterfly Card

Today I have a super amazing card to show off the beautiful Flowering Foils Designer Series Paper that will be available TOMORROW for FREE with your $50 order. This card also features the new Tags In Bloom stamp set that is FREE with your $100 order starting TOMORROW!

I CASEd (copy and share everything) this card from Mitosu Crafts HERE. However, I had to make up my own mechanism because I do not have the cuckoo clock dies that Jay used in his tutorial.
Just look at that gorgeous paper! I highlighted a few of the flowers by quickly coloring them in with our Stampin' Blends.

Look at how shiny that paper is in the video:

And the best is yet to come...

Wait for it......

Et Viola! A fluttering butterfly!!!
Is that super cool or what???!!!

A HUGE Thank You to Jay for sharing this awesome tutorial and for making me have to think outside the box! My card would not have been possible without his!
HAPPY STAMPING!
~Kim~

  1. Absolutely Stunning card Kim. Are you going to create a video showing us how to create this super duper card. (I do acknowledge that you have given 2 videos - 1 of 8 seconds and 2nd of 11 seconds on it, but no instructions). Please, please do a video on it. Thank you.

    2. Chicken - you cant be with such stunning cards. I am very new to your blog and crafting and am amazed at your talent. Come on, let us both venture outside our comfort zones - you doing a video and me making this absolutely stunning card. Please! Thank you in anticipation. Its the mechanism that has me intrigued. 3. You flatter me! :) May I ask how you found me? If you click on the mitosucrafts link from where I CASEd it, Jay has a full tutorial on this card. I'm not saying I won't do one on my way, I just need to find the time to try.

  2. Kim, I honestly don't know how I found you - your email just appeared in my box one day and bam, I have been loving your cards for about a month now. Maybe you were part of a hop. I did go onto Jay's site and sadly I don't have the die from the clock stamp set so hence I wont be able to make your card. Please do videos as your cards are just so amazing. Oh yes, time .... even as an older retiree, I honestly don't have enough time in the day to do all I want. Totally understand. XX Mal, Melbourne, Australia

  3. I don't have the cuckoo dies either. I had to re-engineer that part. One of these days maybe I'll get brave enough. I have the video stand, but just have not had the confidence to do it. ;) I need to start with a couple of easy cards and work my way up to these. I love card making almost as much as I love horses. I guess I'm just worried that I won't explain myself well or thoroughly on the fly. LOL

  5. I am happy too as I have learnt so much from you. Dont be afraid of trying new things, Kim. You will never learn anything if you dont try - EVERY EXPERT WAS ONCE A BEGINNER. Hugs Mal (and I love animals too - retired large animal vet with very sore fingers but hey I am learning new crafty things and trying to be nimble!!!! But I am getting there with your help). XX M

    1. I used the sliding door die door handles for the slits and just straight lengths of cardstock for the pieces that he used of the cuckoo clock.
