You have got to see this flying dragonfly card! Tutorial included :)

Hello there! I have a fun card for you today that features the upcoming Dragonfly Garden Suite that will be available in the January through June mini catalog.

I embossed a piece of Whisper White with the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder then wrapped a piece of Seaside Spray metallic ribbon around it and adhered it to a Bermuda Bay card base. I added a piece of 1½"x 5" Dandy Garden 6x6 DSP (coming soon!) to the front. I stamped "you are an..." to a ½" strip of Whisper White in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and punched it with the Lovely Labels Pick A Punch then I punched a piece of ¾" Soft Sea Foam with the other side of the Lovely Labels Pick A Punch and layered then sentiment on top. I added 2 Artistry Blooms adhesive-backed sequins and popped the sentiment piece up on dimensionals then adhered it to the card front.

Pretty card on it's own right? But wait, check out the fun that happens when you open it!

The video shows it even better.
Fun huh?!!!

It's super easy too! This is how I made the inside piece. I took a 5¼"x 8" piece of Whisper White, scored it  at 4" and folded it.

Then I marked it in pencil at 1" from the fold both horizontally and vertically. Score between those two marks then bend the score line back and forth a couple of times to loosen it.

Pop that corner forward and Viola! you have your pop-up mechanism! Easy peasy right?

This is what it should look like closed before you adhere it inside your card base.

Line it up with the card base

Add strong adhesive (I used Stampin' Seal +) then close the front of the card base over the top.

Flip the card over and open the back then add your strong adhesive to that and close.

TA DA!!!

The bundle includes the stamp set and punch for $36.75. They will be available on January 5th. Don't forget to add them to your wishlist!

As always, if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

HAPPY STAMPING!!!
~Kim~
